HP SIM accross WAN + installing agent question

Hi,
I am a newbie with HP SIM, but I have red the user guide, and I have not found any information about managing system accross the WAN. If it is possible to manage system accross the WAN, then the agent must be installed directly on the managed system, not with the CMS (because the system managed can have a private IP and the CMS can't see it).
So, can you help me about HP SIM and WAN please ? and about installing agent without the CMS ?
