HP SIM Cleanup
Ok, I have had SIM in one form or another for about 8 years now and I have decided to get serious about configuring it.
So i have a number of goals.
1) The server running it now is SLOW and I have purchased a new machine for it. I would like to move the database to a full blown SQL server while moving SIM to this new one I purchased.
2) There are many things in SIM that show up as IP addresses and some things that do not show up at all.
3) There are things with associations that do not show that i want to resolve.
Any help is useful, but first of all i need to move the program.

Re: HP SIM Cleanup
1. See "How to Move HP SIM SQL 2005 Database" from http://www.hp.com/go/hpsim --> Information Library
2. You need to work to get forward and reverse DNS resolving properly.
3. A lot of this should clear up when you resolve #2.
