HP SIM SMTP error
All,
I am trying to setup my SMTP and I am getting the following error:
"
Sending failed; class 530 5.7.3 Client was not authenticated
"
I can send SMTP mail using other programs but not through SIM anyone have an idea on why this is happening?
Thanks in advance

Re: HP SIM SMTP error
That seems to indicate that the Mail Server is rejecting the connection.
In the HPSIM E-Mail config you can pass authentication parameters if that is required.
Also, E-Mail Servers like Exchange are usually configured to accept SMTP connections from specific sources.
You can test by just using telnet and specifying port 25. You should be able to send a HELO and get a response.

Re: HP SIM SMTP error
Rob,
I can send test SMTP emails with authentication, but as soon as I put the same information in SIM I get the "Sending failed; class 530 5.7.3 Client was not authenticated" error. Any other idea's?
