HP SIM - Unknown database error 1
Hello I have a big problem I want to install the newest Version of HP Sim 5.0 SP 5 on a Windows 2003 Server (DL380). I try it with SQL 2000 and SQL 2005 and I run always in the same error. The installer starts and asks me for the following thinks.
User Name:
I us the Admin account
PW:
I add the right password
Domain:
I add the right password
Hostname:
Here it shows the DNS name of the server but I also tried to use localhost or 127.0.0.1
Instance name:
Here I use the default instance of SQL
Database: master
Port: 1433
If I press next I get the message “Unknown database error 1” and the installation stops!Who has an idea how I can handle this issue…
Best regards, T.K.

Re: HP SIM - Unknown database error 1
I see that you are entering the right password in the domain field. You are supposed to give the domain name (if your server is part of the domain) or the hostname in the "Domain" field.
