HP SIM with ILO problem
hello,
we have 100+ hp servers (most of 360g5, some 360g4p, 360g4, 380g5).
all server has ilo2, and it works fine.
i tried HP SIM (ver.: 5.3, os: windows), and had some problem... The HP SIM found all server, looks like everything fine, but we got random error messages: X Y Z server is down. When we got these error messages, we couldn't connect those server's ilo (ping ilo port - no answer)! But the server is up, we can ping nic, connect sharing etc, only the ILO unreachable! After a while (~5 minutes) HP SIM say, the server is up, and then we can connect ilo.
We got this error a lots of servers (different type g3,g4,g5, different os, different fw version of ilo). After ~5 minutes, the servers came back, but nearly another one is gone.
We have 2 server room, conected with 10Gb optic. The HP SIM is in the "A" serverroom the servers with error usually in "B" room. The optic network is good, becasuse the normal network/san is work fine.
we tried to set higher values (Retries / Timeout) in HP SIM, but it's not working...
When no HP SIM, the evry Ilo-s looks fine (we tested it with a script)
any ideas?
thanks / kind regards
Andras
