HP SIM
I am using HP SIM on Windows. I want to setup tasks that monitor disk thresholds and then send notification to my pager when the thresholds meet my criteria. I set up my pager information under Options, Security, Users and specified Send page in my task, however, I am not getting any pages. I also am entering my pager number in the To: portion of send email as another test but am not getting notifications that way either.

Re: HP SIM
Break things down a bit.
From Command Console fire up the HP Management Agents GUI.
This has a Trap Send function that will generate a Major Alert.
Set up a notification task to e-mail you on Major Alerts. That will also require setting up the e-mail settings to point to you e-mail server.
That will test the e-mail mechanism. Then investigate the other areas.

Re: HP SIM
My email notifications work when I enter my email address in the To: field. It is only when I enter my pager number (ex. 8888888888@skytel.com) in the To: field that it does not work.

I resolved this.
