HP Vulnerability and Patch Management.
I have been testing the Pre-release version of this product within HP SIM 4.2 and have not been able to get it to work properly. I have configured the proxy etc., but everytime I try to Acquire Updates I consistently get authentication failed. Can't seem to figure out what that really means, if it is the proxy or something to do with the logged on user. Has anyone worked with this yet and had any success?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: HP Vulnerability and Patch Management.
The proxy is needed if you do not have direct access to the internet from the SIM server. It is the same proxy you would configure for Internet Explorer.

Re: HP Vulnerability and Patch Management.
For the acquire updates task to run openSSH must be properly configured on your CMS. A quick test to see if it is setup properly is to select the CMS and then go to Tools --> Command Line Tools --> Windows --> netstat. If this task does not run then the acquire updates will not either.

Re: HP Vulnerability and Patch Management.
I made SIM and VPM module work correcty but once scan completed when looking to VPM events I get a major event with the Explanation "No file or registry access."
I checked that firewall, AD and local policies are disabled on the server concerned, but I still get this message.
How can I solve this access issue ?
