HPSIM 4.1 installation - keep old database

How do I install HPSIM 4.1 without overwriting or deleting my HPSIM 4.0 database (SQL 2000)? The installation routine insists on deleting my current database. It seems the only way around it is to specify a different SQL box, but, alas, I haven't that luxury.

HP SIM 4.1 does not currently support upgrades of HP SIM 4.0. You must uninstall HP SIM 4.0 which will leave the current SIM database Insight_v1_0 intact. When you install HP SIM 4.1 it will create a new database with the naming format Insight_v1_0_xxxxx. Where xxxxx is the current timestamp of the installation. In fact if you were to install HP SIM 4.1 multiple times it would create a new database each time. The old databases must be removed manually.
