hpsim log problem
Dear all,
This morning when I came to the office I noticed that one of my filesystem was almost full. After doing research, I've found that was comming from HP Insight Manager log file. Each second this is logged into the file:
/var/opt/mx/logs/mxdomainmgr.0.log
09:05:56,293 INFO [JMSContainerInvoker] Trying to reconnect to JMS provider for InstallOpenSSHMD
09:05:56,293 ERROR [JMSContainerInvoker] Reconnect failed: JMS provider failure detected for InstallOpenSSHMD

at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)
09:05:56,293 INFO [JMSContainerInvoker] Waiting for reconnect internal 10000ms for InstallOpenSSHMD
This file is now 1.3GB large. I have two questions: why I got this error each second? What should I do to stop this error?
Hope you will be able to help me on this.
Thank you and best regards,
Yanick

Re: hpsim log problem
SIM runs a daily database maintenance which in turn tries to shrink the temdb which it does not have control on. Hence it the message is displayed.
This message does not cause any issue with HP Systems Insight Manager.
One step which can be tried is to disable the shrink tempdb database option.
The following the line needs to be added to the globalsetting.props
ShrinkTempDatabase=Flase
Once this has been done the SIM service needs to be restarted.
Monitor the SIM systems to verify if the message is reported again
