Re: HTTP 400 Error
Hello Graham, I haven't experienced that myself, but "page not found" errors may have many reasons from browser misconfiguration in respect to proxies or security over (rarely) java runtime incompatibilities to erroneous serverside installations etc..
It would be helpful for analysis, if you could tell, if it's supposed to be a clientside or serverside issue. Have you tried to connect to your SIM with different browsers? Have you opened HP SIM on the server itself? Which java version do you use?
Appearently, no HTML page can be generated after successful login. Have you checked that all services connected with HP SIM are running properly on the server? Probably the main web application is not being loaded by the (tomcat?) server.

Re: HTTP 400 Error
A colleage just had the same problem, I think. The point is, that after successful login the protocol switches to https, which lets the browser interpret the proxy exceptions differently (in MS IE). Check the zone you're in! It's supposed to be secured local intranet (see status bar, right). If it shows the internet symbol, the proxy settings have to be modified.
