If a server is sent out in the field without the ILO properly configured is there a way to remotely configure it in any way? I have SIM server 5.1 running and most of the clients are running local sim 7.x
Thanks
Jeff

Solution
If the OS on the server is windows then yes, there are a couple of utilities.
Search for HPLOCFG.
The download is:
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/26040.html
There's also a zip file available of xml scripts.

Re: ILO Logg in
Hey Rob, I downloaded it along with some sample scripts. I ran it on a box and it worked great..
The only thing I can't figure out is how can I run it on a remote server? (without logging into it first) is this possible?
Thanks
Jeff

Re: ILO Logg in
There is another utility that connects to the ILOs that you can use to configure some details . But IIRC that needs a username / password for the ILO. CPQLOCFG I think.
The HPLOCFG is the only one I know about that you can use when you don't know the password.
It's a while since I've used them.
