Initial PSP Install download problem

Hi there,

When I do an Initial Proliant Support Pack install SIM won't download the PSP from the VCRM to itself. The directory 'Install PSP' is created within this directory a directory with a random number is created.. In this directory SIM places two files (setupc.exe and setupcor.dll) but the psp files aren't downloaded. The webpage keeps indicating 'Download in progress' but in the back nothing happens.

For as far as I can see everything within SIM works fine. The VCA's are seeing and using the VCRM. The VCRM is trusted and seen by SIM, the Repository is loaded with psp's and are seen by SIM.

The VCRM and SIM are loaded on the same box. Security can not be the issue (I think) because every configured account is now domain admin (just to sure).

I've done two installations on two seperated machines and both are having the same troubles.

No firewall's or Advanced IE security settings are active.

SIM Version 5.1 SP1 with latest hotfix running on Windows 2003 incl. SP1.

Anyone any idea's?

Thanks in advance.

Michel.

Make sure to login to VCRM https://:2381/vcrepository & check the "log" for any specific error or message related to this.

Re: Initial PSP Install download problem

Hi there,

Checked the log file.. Nothing exiting in there..

All the services are running on the 'Administrator' account will this be the problem?

Cheers,

Michel.

Re: Initial PSP Install download problem

Here are just a few suggestions - I'm not sure these will work:

1) Is the repository selected as the 'default' repository in the Options->Version Control Repository menu? You might go back and double-check, and select it again just to be sure.

2) Go to the Options->Security->System Link Configuration and set it to contact the system by IP address.

3) Set the trust to Trust All just temporarily in the System Management Homepage. Try that - if it works, it will be a clue, but certainly not a permanent solution.
