Insight Control Data Center Edition install issue

I did not see a section for ICDCE so I will post here.
My issue is regarding the ICDCE DVD. While trying to install RDP froze (I ran the installer and selected all apps to be installed), RDP is first.

RDP froze for over an hour and did not install, had to reboot to get the system back. After reboot I tried to install again and it stopped me with an error "A functioning Insight Control Data Ctr Edition was found on this system, install will not continue...".

Problem is, nothing is actually installed under Programs, Add/remove, registry, etc.
I cannot figure out how to install now.

The installer has been very hard to work with, MSDE would not install, I had to remove MSDE that was used by SIM 5, VMware VirtualCenter and VClient. (That is a whole other story).

Anyway, if anyone knows how this might work without blasting my entire system I would be greatful.
No sense in having ICDCE DVD with the licensing if I cannot even install everything at once.

I had a similar problem. It turned out to be IE7. I had to uninstall IE7 then it worked.

Hi, thanks for the reply, there is no IE7 on the system.

One thing it may be is Java Runtime, anyone had issues with JRE versions and ICDCE install or use?

Shawn, did you do a checksum compare of your download? We've seen some issues around downloads. It can be misleading because the ISO structure is designed to be somewhat functional when a physical disk is damaged, a damaged ISO can mount and burn and appear to function...up to a point.

Best bet would be to re-download and to compare the reference checksum with your download.

David, It is actually the DVD (sort of).
It is the DVD that came with the c-Class, that I converted to ISO and use Daemon Tools to mount as a CD on our server from a NAS Directory. I know it sounds like a lot of work, mostly did this because we dont have a DVD in this older ProLiant that is the mgmt server. Let me find a USB DVD and connect directly and try that tomorrow.
