Insight Manager 5.0 Security

I'm currently managing 230 HP systems through Insight Manager 5.0. All the systems are setup to trust via certificate, however I am always prompted to enter a user/password to manage any systems. Is this normal? I seems to me that if the managed system trusts the management server a user/password would not be necessary.
Thanks.

Re: Insight Manager 5.0 Security

When you say you have "setup to trust via certificate" does that include distributing the necessary cert to all the systems? The "Configure or Repair Agent Settings" function can help you fix a cert issue - if you believe you have the certs setup correctly you may be experiencing some other issue. But you are correct you should not have to sign in if your trust is setup correctly.

I found this thread very helpful regarding trusted certificates :

Re: Insight Manager 5.0 Security

I followed the steps in the link provided, the system I tested on now prompts to accept the certifacate but as soon as I do I'm prompted for a user/pass again. Am I correct in assuming that if the cert is working correctly there would be no user/pass needed?
