Insight manager does not start

I have a Proliant G4 and I have installed insight manager 7.10 on windows 2003 enterprise. If I open Insight manager locally I just get a title bar and nothing else not even a login box. If I connect remotly I get a login box I login and get a page cannot be found. If anyone has any ideas. I have installed the patch for insight manager. and it was working once?

Do you mean HPSIM 4.1 or the old Insight Manager 7?
7.10 refers to the HP Agents.

What exactly are you trying to login to and how?

It's the HP 4.1 SIM and I am trying to open insight manager using IE on the desktop connecting to localhost port 50000

Try to connect to localhost on port 280 and allow SIM to forward you to 50000

The JRE gets invoked pretty early on, what version of the JRE are you running?
You could try clearing the Java Cache files (done from the Java Console).

You could also try removing all JRE's, downloading the latest 1.4.2_06 and installing that and trying.
You could also try downloading Mozilla Firefox and trying that as that was not affected by the MS04-025 bug.
