Installation and Configuration
Hi,
I am having a few problems with using insight manager.
I have done the initial support pack install which is says is successful but under the All Systems page the servers appear but the system type is unknown as is Product Name and OS name.
Is this normal or have i done something wrong?
Also how do i confige the servers to appear under All Servers as opposed to All Systems?

Re: Installation and Configuration
-Have you verified that the SNMP-settings on both the Managed System and the HPSIM server are the same?
-Have you rebooted the Managed System after installing the Support Pack?
-Have you ran a Discovery on the HPSIM-server?
As log as your system is identified as "Unknown", it is not identified as a server and will not appear in the "All servers"=list.

Re: Installation and Configuration
Hi,
On the managed server the settings under security are:
send auth trap enabled
public read only
private read write
accept snmp from localhost only
under traps the settings are:
community name = public
trap destinations = ip of management server
On the client the SNMP TRAP SERVICE is started and enabled
The SNMP service is configured as:
send auth trap enabled
public read only
accept snmp from any host
There is nothing configured under traps.
The managed server has been rebooted and i have run manual discovery on the system.
