Installing Proliant Performance Analysers Fails

Hi

I'm trying to install Insight Manager 7 on an ML370 single processor, 512Mb RAM, W2K Server SP4 and all the latest patches.

It always 'hangs' at the point of 'Installing Proliant Performance Analyser' and will not get past this point either at the console or via RDP using the command line "mstsc /v servername /console", which has been mentioned in a previous posting.

Are there any further sugesstions from anyone?

Thanks
Tim

Re: Installing Proliant Performance Analysers Fails

If you're doing this via Terminal Services it's a known bug, discussed frequently in the Insight Manager 7 Forum (this forum is for the new HPSIM)

Try installing it from a direct console.

Thanks for the info, but it still fails when run directly from the servers console.

Re: Installing Proliant Performance Analysers Fails

Does anyone have a solution to this issue, I have the same problem. IM7 Install crashes at this screen "Installing Proliant Performance Analyzer. Please wait..."

I am not using remote desktops or terminal services, I am actually in front of the console.

Re: Installing Proliant Performance Analysers Fails

I had to disable the Terminal services Service reboot then install and it worked, from the Console.
