Integration with SIM w/ TDEFs - Examples Needed
HP is looking for examples of customers or partners who have used HP SIM's
Tool Definition Files (TDEFs) to tie in your own applications, command line utilities, etc. directly into HP SIM so you can take advantage of multi-device selection, the scheduling, etc. that is part of the core application.
If you have leverged TDEFs, we'd like to hear about what you did. If you are not familiar with them you can see info on them at the following link:
http://h18013.www1.hp.com/products/servers/management/hpsim/infolibrary.html#b5
Please reply to this thread if you would like to share what you did with TDEFs.
Thank you,

Re: Integration with SIM w/ TDEFs - Examples Needed
Hello,
I have implemente multiple TDEF tools within the company.
For exemple:
- Setting network configuration like DNS or WINS (Base on VBS scripts)
- Scheduling task like snapshot creation with iSCSI and Network Appliance product.
Almost every time I need to have something that need to be done on multiple server and we don't have an other way to do it, I write done a small script, create a new tools in HP SIM and here we go.
Regards,
Didier Troyon
