java error when trying to set global protocol settings

Has anyone seen this and know what could cause this?
Screen attached.
Was working fine, then all of a sudden this happened.

This happens when the file

C:\Program Files\HP\Systems Insight Manager\config\nodesecurity.xml

gets corrupted.

to fix

1. stop the SIM service
2. delete the file
3. start the SIM service

A new file will be created.
