Java unresponsive after "Checking for a Java Runtime Environment"
I've had a problem with running HPSIM crop up suddenly on my workstation. When I browse to the program, it displays, as always, "Please wait. Checking for a Java Runtime Environment." It then loads up Java and the status bar says "Applet com.hp.mx.portal.applet.baseapplet.testApplet started." The pointer changes to an hourglass, and that's it. Nothing else happens
Other workstations and the server don't have this issue, and it seems to be a Java problem. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Java, deleted temp files, cleared the Java cache...
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
- Steve Kadish

Re: Java unresponsive after "Checking for a Java Runtime Environment"
Thank you as well, I think Steve put it well - grr - I would, more correctly, my security people would like to understand what about the patch caused this issue.
Thanks
Joe

Re: Java unresponsive after "Checking for a Java Runtime Environment"
you no longer have to uninstall the MS patch.
