Lights Out
Does anybody know why that Insight Manager has issues with all of the new DL360 G4 Lights Out card. Right out of the box, I have to disable the LO card because Insight is showing alerts. Is there a better way than rebooting the machine and disabling the LO card to clear the alerts?

Re: Lights Out
Hi Eric,
I believe the issue is with HP Support pack 7.2 and greater, not the G4 server.
Starting with 7.2, if your iLO is not connected, the server agents will generate an alert. I believe this is by design, although (depending who you talk to) not necessarily desired.
What I do is disable the agent instead of the iLO. Go to the HP Management Agents applet in the Control Panel (on the server with the problem, not the SIM server), and remove the "Remote Insight Information" object from the Active Agents list and then restart the agents when prompted.
