Manage clients
Hello,
After installing HP Systems Insight Manager, I can see my HP W2000 servers.
I add my HP UX server and some of my important HP Vectra desktop : there are managed, but only by ping test.
How can I set up HP UX server and HP Vectra workstations to be managed from Management agents and SNMP?
Tnak you

Re: Manage clients
For Vectra PC's you need to install TopTools Agents and for HP-UX you need to install the WEBM Agent for the version of HP-UX you are using.
For HP-UX: http://h18013.www1.hp.com/products/servers/management/hpsim/download.html
For TopTools Agents, I try to find a download, but support has been discontinued.

Re: Manage clients
Hello,
thank you for your help
The HP SIM file seems to be an upgrade and not a full installation file.
Where can I find the full version?
For the HP Vectra, I found Insight agents, do you think HP Top Tool is better?

Re: Manage clients
Actually, Insight Manager Agents for Vectra's are better. (They replace TopTools Agents)
You can download HP SIM 4.1 SP from this link:
http://h18013.www1.hp.com/products/servers/management/hpsim/download.html
Or you can install it from the Management CD v7.10 that comes with the servers.
I prefer the download version because it has everything in one zip file.
