Modifying emails sent from the CMS
Hello,
This is my first post to these very useful forums.
I was wondering if anyone could assist me with this question.
I have an Automatic Event that runs during working hours waiting for servers to go Critical. Once this condition is met the CMS emails to a group of users.
Is there a template or someway of changing the text within these emails?
Many thanks in advance.

Re: Modifying emails sent from the CMS
The email task itself can't change its format. Those who have wanted to accomplish something like this have created a custom script that takes the environment variables and formats it the way they want and calls an email client CLI from a custom command.
What kind of customization did you want to do, anyway?

Re: Modifying emails sent from the CMS
We're hoping to send emails directly to Peregrine (Service Center) in order to automatically have trouble tickets created.
Peregrine's tech support says we need to change the wording on our emails in order to match Service Center's fields. See example below. In a nutshell they say we need to substitute the for SC_?.
Any chance you know how to do this, what file(s) I should change?
Example:
SC_Type: simpmo
SC_logicalname: cl-sbend
Don't Need in Servicecenter Event Name: Cluster Monitor Status Change - Cluster
SC_priority:Critical
SC_Date_Opened: 12-Apr-2005, 13:23:29
SC_description: Cluster
SC_action:
CMX TEXT: MSCS Resource: device status on cluster cl-sbend became
critical.
Thanks,
Bill
