New System Type and System Identification
I have created a new system type for a netscreen firewall. I used a MIB walker to identify the System OID of my firewall. When I use the Identify Systems tool SIM does not associate my firewall with my new system type. Additionally, I used the command line tool mxnode to view the system info in the DB and the data represents only an "unknown" system.
Does anyone know how to verify what SIM is receiving during the Identify process? I reviewed the "View Task Results" and noticed the the log entry "Found matching SNMP System Type Manager rule, added as possible system type".
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
