Old emails flooding system
Running 4.2 SIM
Any news or updates on the infuriating problem to do with old alerts being emailed in huge quantities.
We have had hundreds of emails stemimg from sept of last year and I am in danger of getting lynched.
interestingly when i was running 4.1 sp1 the patch I applied worked but now i have upgraded to 4.2 the bloody problem has come back.
regards

Re: Old emails flooding system
Having a similar problem with HP-SIM 4.1 where a false Power Supply failure is reported and then recovers within seconds. This started sporadically over weeks, until recently I had a DOS of alerts being sent to my tech groups email and SMS. The power supply has been swapped and HP-SIM was still flooding each time I restored my Event Handling Task.
Opened case with HP and they are suggesting I apply 7.20 Firmware and Support pack updates as well as upgrade to HP-SIM 4.2.
I've already tested the firmware and Support pack updates on one server. Already Running into issues, some already mentioned in the forum but now my Embedded NIC for iLO is reporting failed.
Is 4.1 SP1 for HP-SIM still downloadable from HP? Do you have a link? I think I will avoid 4.2 for now.

Re: Old emails flooding system
Greg,
HPSIM 4.1 should be on one of your Smart Start CD's if you've bought a Server recently. I cannot see it on the HP site.
Sp1 is available from the HP Site for HPSIm 4.1 and 4.0.
