Open SSH
Hi,
I'd like to know if I can use Open SSH to run setupc on the target systems behind the firewall. Has anybody done that using the custom command under tools?
Thanks,
Ana

Re: Open SSH
The 'Initial ProLiant Support Pack Install' uses setupc over the network with Windows security. It might be a safer approach than trying to open up your systems to attack by installing SSH on each of them. You would have to open that port in the firewall, too.

Re: Open SSH
Hi,
Are you saying that by opening port 22 for Open SSH I can do Tool->Install Proliant Support Pack from SIM?
I've tried doing that (Open SSH works between SIM and target system) but the "Install Proliant Support pack" fails with EXCEPTION CLASS: com.hp.mx.exceptions.MxFailedAuthenticationException
EXCEPTION: Authentication failed.
I can run tools like dir, list on the target system but I'm not able to run the Install Proliant Support pack on it. Any ideas why?
Thanks,
Ana
