OpenSSH not working
I performed a fresh installation of OpenSSH prior to installing HPSim 4.2 sp2, on a Windows 2003 server using a local MSDE database.(both from the 7.30 version of the management CD).
I have been getting MXAUTHENTICATION errors when trying to run commands. I downloaded the Secure Shell (SSH) whitepaper from www.hp.com/go/hpsim -> Information Library -> White Papers, and followed every step in Appendix B.
I have been unable to use 'ssh.exe' (the client) to access the CMS server. I launch the client, and the firs time I am provided with the server's key. I type 'yes' to accept it, and see the .ssh entry created under my profile. I am then prompted to enter a password, but authentication fails. (refer to attached FORUM.TXT file)
Any use of the mxagentconfig reports: "Unable to contact the SSH server on node server_name"
I deleted the .ssh directory. Re-ran mxagentconfig. Directory was created, "Unable to contact server. Re-ran ssh, prompetd to accept key, Permission denied. (refer to attached FORUM.TXT file)
As specified, I verified/updated the local security policy (Windows 2003 server) for the user to be able to Create and Replace a Process Level Token, and login as a service. I verified the ownership on the keys.
I even tried copying the RSA and DSA public keys and renaming them as id_rsa and id_dsa (something the ssh client seems to be looking for). It still keeps prompting me for a password even though according to the Whitepaper, this is not supported by HPSim (white paper page 8).
This is turning into a show-stopper.
HELP !!

Re: OpenSSH not working
I encountered the same issue. "Unable to contact SSH server..."
I am running on HPUX platform for my CMS. What I did was rip out the old version of openSSH and put in the newest version. That solved it.

Re: OpenSSH not working
I installed from the 7.30 Mgmt CD. I'm up-to-date. HPSIM is running on Windows 2003 server on a ML370 G3 with over 100Gb available disk space (on the application drive), and 4.5Gb RAM.
