Operating System name not WINNT

I'm trying to install OpenSSH, or the Support Pack in SIM and when I select the target server the "Tool Launch OK?" Column has a "No, View Details". When I view the details it has "The properties that has for the failing conditions: Operating System Name: MgmtProc"

It looks like the SIM will only install if the Operating system name is WINNT. How do I change this on ther server to be WINNT, or configure SIM to allow the install?

Also this is a WIN2003 SP2 server.

Re: Operating System name not WINNT

It sounds like the server in question may not have been actually "discovered" but rather "auto-discovered" by having its iLO discovered. Make sure that you have an actual IP address for the server and that you are using HP SIM 5.1 SP1.

It did have the IP address, but I did delete it out and then did a manual discovery. I also noticed something else that I missed and the 2 together allowed me access. TY

I'm having the same issue. What were the other things that you tried?

Thanks,

Re: Operating System name not WINNT

I don't remember excatly what needed to be done as it was awhile ago. It was something simple that if I had setup everything correctly the first time I would have not had this issue. I know it's not a big help, but thats all I've got.

Re: Operating System name not WINNT

OK Thanks. Think I might have found one of the things I over looked was to edit the system properties and change the the Operating system tool filtering.DOH!
