PMP - why is this so difficult?
I think to get rid of SIM "question marks" I need to register the Proliant server. To do this, on the same server as my CMS, I am trying to install the Altiris 5.6 sp 1 license server. The install seemed to have worked, although in the "express setup no PXE" it runs forever and for "custom" I can't sign on to the db. I reset the db to something I know using one of the threads on this user group.
Windows 2003 - PMPTools.exe and PMP.exe are both running - I can't find a console. Within SIM I can find the PMP area under >options >PMP options >licensing nothing of any use appears. Looking at my ODBC connections I have one for system DSN for PMP_V3_0 - should this be NT authorization or SQL authorization?
I also have a Insight_v42_0 SYSTEM DSN with Windows authorization but with connect to sql server for additonal configuration options checked. Never having seen this run, I am really at a loss to even say what I think I messed up on - can anyone straighten me out??
Thanks Tom
