Polling interval

SIM is set to poll the servers every 15 minutes, but on one of our servers the service is logging in about every 15 seconds. It's filling up the logs & we'd like to stop it.
The SNMP setting on Insight Manager on they server itself is set to 20 minutes.
Any ideas?
