Problem in configuring Suse 9 Server as Managed system
Hi All
When I am configuring SUSE 9 server as Managed system , I am getting error â Sending test trap on LINUX is not supportedâ
snmpd.conf file is attached
SerDev:/etc/snmp # snmpget -v1 -Cf -c ottakringer localhost system.sysUpTime.0 system.sysContact.0
SNMPv2-MIB::sysUpTime.0 = Timeticks: (61992) 0:10:19.92
SNMPv2-MIB::sysContact.0 = STRING: root@localhost

That message is just an information about testing the trap configuration. Sending "test" trap from linux systems is not supported.
That does not mean, you would not get traps/event from the system.

So what is the problem on this?
i also got the similar issue as "Sending test trap on LINUX is not supported."
I can't got any events from the managed servers (RH Linux 5.3) which my HP SIM server is running on RH Linux 5.3 also.
