Processor Performance Report

On all servers, when I click on processor performance I get the following error: "asdas" in the title of the window and "register failk" in the window. I have to click OK in the window several times then I get a C++ error. Any ideas?

Re: Processor Performance Report

Did you ever find out the problem? I have the same thing happen when I try to view a File Space page in Insight Manager.

Re: Processor Performance Report

No, I haven't come up with a solution to this problem. If anyone knows the answer to this, please respond.

Re: Processor Performance Report

Well - I did some looking and found that it is JRE related, and I had the latest version of JRE for HP SIM, so I went to a pc running W2K and pulled up the old CIM, allowed the install of JRE 1.3.1 to happen and was able to view the pages I could not on my XP box with the new JRE version.

So.... I am calling it a JRE version conflict and hoping it is exactly that.

This is a link to the forum I got this direction from - hope this helps!

Re: Processor Performance Report

I usually see this problem with systems running Windows Server 2003 or Windows XP SP1 (when it's pre-installed at the factory). Then Insight agents expected the Microsoft JVM to be there (long story) and these OS versions didn't have them (if you've done an upgrade from a previous version, it should still be there).

Fixing it requires JRE 1.4 or later (the one that changed the control panel applet's style). You need to change the setting from "Use Java Plug-In Default" to specifically name the JRE. This will only work if you have only 1 version of the JRE installed.
