PSP Component install failures

When installing PSP updates to various models of Server there is sometimes a component that will not reflect in SIM thats its at the latest version so is shown as amber. In this case its the ILO firmware that is updated to 1.78 but SIM is showing it at 1.35. Anyone got any tips to sort this issue out?

Re: PSP Component install failures

John,
This can be caused by not rebooting the server after the iLO firmware has been updated. During the iLO firmware update process, the iLO gets reset. If the iLo driver and agents are loaded when this reset occurs, they could still report the older version as this information is not available to be polled again until the driver is reset as well. Rebooting the server should solve this problem and allow you to see the correct version of iLO. If it doesn't, be sure you are at the latest 1.11.2.0 iLO2 driver.

Re: PSP Component install failures

Michael,

Thanks for getting back to me. Yes ive tried rebooting a number of times. Ive downgraded the version then updated it again to try and get the correct version to show in the PSP components list. I may try unistalling the PSP and starting again.
