Rapid Deployment, preconfigure authentication

Having difficulty understanding how to pre-configure SIM homepage authentication when using HP rapid deployment.

I have to apologize - I don't do RDP installations on a regular basis so I will try and give you my best understanding. First, I just want to make sure you are actually talking about the System Management Hopmepage - which starting in SS7.20 was its own component in the PSP. Wherever you have your PSP located for installing in RDP you can configure the SMH component using the Remote Deployment Utility. If you run RDU you can use it to "preconfigure" the component for Windows - you don't have to deploy it using RDU.

in chapter 5 talks about how to use it for configuring the foundation agent - if you are using SS7.20 or later you don't need to configure the foundation agent but instead the SMH component. The steps are basically the same for using RDU.

Another possibility is if you are using the latest released version of HPSIM it has an option called "Configure or Repair Agent Settings". You can use RDP to deploy the SMH and agents unconfigured and once the systems are discovered by HPSIM (as unmanaged systems) you can run the Config/Repair feature and it will setup a certificate trust for you and also setup your SNMP settings, it does this by using OS Administrator level access to the Windows systems. This is how I did it the last time I used RDP.
The first option I gave should work if you can get to the SMH component for preconfiguration, I just don't recall how that worked under RDP, the linked doc above should help - as I stated I have limited experience with RDP.
