re-identify equipment
Hi,
I did a discovery and found all of my management procesors but I noticed that they were wrong so I went and fixed the problems, is there any way to get insight manager to re-name the stuff it found to the correct names?
I was also wondering, does anyone have any performance tips for insight manager server? I have the server running with a local database (sql2000) and 4 gig of memory on a dl380 g4 and the server is always clocking at around 70 to 80% utilization.
any ideas would be helpful.

Re: re-identify equipment
On the discovery - what do you mean they were wrong?
If you're talking about names then HPSIM just uses dns. So if you want the ILOs to be displayed by name you can add them into the dns.
There are some white papers on sizing and how many devices you can monitor with a local database.

Re: re-identify equipment
wrong as in identified by the wrong name, now that I've standardized them, if I perform and identify task again will it re-name them to the new ilo name?
