Re-installing SIM

If I was to re-install HP SIM, use a new DB etc...

What would happen to the servers that already have a PMP License assigned to them?

Is there a built in way of scanning the servers for thier licenses?

I've never actually lost any licenses in this process but I have needed to re-enter them sometimes.
Depending on the version of PMP, I think there are some details stored in the registry of the HPSIM Server.
How it ties things together I'm not too sure.

Would it be good idea to delete the registry entries too? We seem to have a few old servers in there that were retired a few years back... Or is there a better way of cleaning out old serials/servers in PMP?
