redhat es4 - virtuozzo kernel
Hi,
I have installed all the agents on rhel4, but our system has a custom kernel from virtuozzo.
DL380G4.
according to swsoft, the agents should work.
also at installation time, all installed fine, no errors, but the hprsm7.6, (had to use the supplied 7.5 from redhat).
Now all are starting fine, but still when loading the hompage I get a timeout.
What could the reason be, am I missing something?
also used /opt/compaq/hpasm/rebuild . could install the generated rpm. and as saying, it sais ok to all agents when starting.
Any other ideas?
Thanks
Patrick

Re: redhat es4 - virtuozzo kernel
The timeout could be for other reasons, like if you edited snmpd.conf and made a mistake or something. Use "hpasm reconfigure" and go through to answer all the prompts again and see if the clean snmpd.conf that results helps. If you have installed the Linux VCA, try stopping that and trying; there have been some timeout issues with down-rev versions of that.
