Remote Support registration failed - Error 100
Hi All.
I am trying to finalise our setup of Remote Support for HP but when I click on the Submit Updates and Register button I get the following:
Updating information and registering the client....Failed!
The isee client log file has the following message
ERROR DURING TRANSPORT, transport type=registration transport id=4B9FCB97-A8F9-4D72-A9BB-753A089CB355 Error details: error code=100 error string=Failed to get GDID! isClient=true
I have tried the instructions in the KB article http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=110&prodSeriesId=3927992&prodTypeId=18964&objectID=c03062621 (deleting config files and re-registering) to no avail.
It is running in a Virtual Machine (Hyper-V) on a DL380 G7, doing some reading i am not too sure if this is a supported configuration. Any ideas?
