Responsible device List
Dear HP SIM users,
I have a question about how to handle systems which are intentionally shut down.
When we used Compaq Insight Manager 4.X there was a "Responsible device list". Only the servers listed there were actually monitored. When a server was shut down (becase it was reinstalled or something else) you simply had taken it out of this list and everyone knew that this system is not productive right now.
Is such a feature somehow avialable under HPSIM 4.1? I can delete old machines but then I also loose the capability to watch the data collection reports.
Any ideas?
best regards

Re: Responsible device List
Not directly.
I have a similar requirement where I don't want some servers being logged to an automatic incident reporting system.
I use the Custom Command Option which reads a text list for Servers to exclude. This is easily editable.
