Restore BCK

Hi,
I have a little dummy doubt. I am testing in a development system how can I restore a SIM backup. I´ll try to explain the test:
- we have (for example) 30 discovered systems.
- we make a backup (backup database y backup log from Insight_v50_...).
- we delete the systems and we have 1 discovered system.
- we try to restore the previous backup (restore log y restore backup).
- we stop/start the hpsim, but we have 1 discovered system only¡¡¡

By other hand, how can I know when a restore is finish ???
(PD: we have MSDE 2000 only.)
