Schedule Planned downtime
Dear @,
Could somebody tell me how to schedule planned downtime for the servers in HP SIM 4.2.
I know I can stop and resume monitoring the servers, but this manually.I'm trying to automate the task.

Re: Schedule Planned downtime
Hi KIKO,
Warning - use with caution!!!!! TEST FIRST!!!!
It appears that the table "devices" has a column called "OverallStatus" that when you "Suspend a server from monitoring", the value of this changes to 9 (from a normal value of 1).
Perhaps you could write a SQL script that will change this value to 9 automatically when you perform maintenance. Then when you are done with the maintenance run a SQL script to change it back to 1. Obviously you would need to have some DBA experience to write the scripts and automate them to run when needed.
I really dont know what else this column does, so TEST FIRST!!!! Do not try this in production enviroment without trying in a test enviroment first!!!
Hope this helps
