SIM 4.1 connection problem
SIM 4.1 doesn't working properly. when i want to connect SIM 4.1 with my browser i see a error on the browser screen. "Page can not be displayed" then i run a bat file under the c:\Program Files\HP\Systems Insight Manager\sim.bat SIM is working properly.
before run the sim.bat i am looking cpu usage its normal %2-3
after the run sim.bat file CPU usage is going to %100 and adding in the task manager new files. example mxdomainmgr.exe,mxinventory.exe,mxdtf.exe and mxagent.exe etc.
sould i run the sim.bat file when my connection cut?
i think should be a solution.
thanks,

Re: SIM 4.1 connection problem
In your Windows application event log you will see messages like
Windows application event log is filled with errors
The description for Event ID ( 1 ) in Source ( HP Systems Insight Manager ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: Could not restart MxDomainManager.
The solution is to delete the 0 byte files named "program"

When i look the services HP System insight manager service is working properly.
App log :
The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( sshd ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: sshd : PID 61156 : fatal: Timeout before authentication for MY SIM SERVER IP ADDRESS

Re: SIM 4.1 connection problem
If you startup SIM using sim.bat instead of the "HP Systems Insight Manager" service are you then able to login to SIM?

Re: SIM 4.1 connection problem
i cann't login to SIM unless i run sim.bat file.
browser getting error message "the page can not the displayed" logon page doesn't come to the browser. and then when i run sim.bat i can login to SIM and i can work properly. and HP system insight manager service still start position. i think it doesn't look like HP SIM service. because i tried to restart HP SIM service and nothing. after run sim.bat file my CPU is going to %100 and adding new files in the task manager.example xdomainmgr.exe, xinventory.exe, mxdtf.exe and mxagent.exe etc.
before run sim.bat file i cann't see these files in the task manager and CPU position is normal between %2 and %5.
this problem occurs per a week at least(connection losing)
thanks,

Re: SIM 4.1 connection problem
I would suggest you open a call with your local support center for further assistance in troubleshooting this problem.
