SIM 4.1 registering Dell PowerEdge MIBs
I have downloaded Dell's latest PowerEdge MIBs v4.1 and am attempting to compile and register them with HP SIM 4.1. I have been able to compile all of the MIBS except two of them. Actually, one of them only gives warnings, but the other one fails completely. Here are the MIB's that are failing and the errors I receive:
*NOTE: I have prefixed all the mibs with "DELL" + the original name.
==============================================
This one is the symmib.mib. The description from Dell is that it is for the LSI DMI Browser. It compiles but gives a warning shown below:
Compiling DELLsymmib.mib
Processing import file: RFC1155-SMI.mib
Processing import file: HOST-RESOURCES-MIB.mib
Processing import file: RFC-1212.mib
Processing import file: rfc1213.mib
Failed to open import file: dmtf-dmi.mib
could not compile module DMTF-DMI
Mib file compilation completed with warnings
I'm not sure why it cannot import the DMTF-DMI mib. I checked and it is in the same directory when I try to compile.
==============================================
The one that completely fails is intellan.mib. It is for receiving trap messages for the most recent Intel NIC cards. I looked at the lines in the MIB that it referenced in the error, but I can't seem to find anything that looks incorrect:
Compiling DELLintellan.mib
Line: 115: Error defining OBJECT IDENTIFIER: Expected '{', found org
If anyone can provide any help with either of these two messages, it would be greatly appreciated. If you need me to supply more information, please let me know and I will give you what I can.
Thanks,
Clayton Mallard
