SIM 5.0 SP5 VMM Problems
I am curious to see if anyone else is having this same problem with VMM in SIM 5.0 SP5.
I have 8 ESX servers (62 VMs), all some build of 2.5.3, being managed by our SIM server. We've used this SIM server for multiple P2V operations that were successful in the past.
However, now when we go to perform a P2V, SIM takes a very very long time to pull up the list of ESX servers for the P2V process. It also takes a very long time to select an alternate VM host for the built in failover in SIM 5.0 SP5.
At first we thought it was our hardware the SIM server is running on (380 G2), however we just rebuilt the SIM 5.0 server on a 380 G4 and we are still experiencing the same issues. Has anyone else ran into this and know a fix? We have a case open currently with HP.

Re: SIM 5.0 SP5 VMM Problems
I see this with our HPSIM Server, especially during the licensing phase.
I find it's best to highlight the server I'm going to P2V before I start on the P2V process, this speeds things up a bit.
I've got other performance concerns with the license mechanism since SP5.
