SIM 5.2 and agents
Hello,
can anyone tell me if the new version of SIM 5.2 is compatible with all versions of the agents, 7.1, 6.1 ect. thank you.

Later versions of HPSIM will work with older agents.
What you'll find is that you may not get as much reporting data returned.
As a lot of the info is discovered via SNMP then that doesn't really change.

Is there an easy way to find out what agent versions are deployed on client servers through SIM 5.2? I'm trying to establish if particular servers are using older agent versions.

Use a report for software and then sort it to get the best display.
Unfortunately some of the naming changed on the older agents so it's not always clear.
You can also pull the info from the HPSIM database if you know a bit of SQL. The report has an option to show the SQL it has used - so that makes it easier.
