SIM 7 "error getting hostname"

SIM 7 "error getting hostname"

Hello all,

I'm trying to install SIM 7 on a Windows 2000 Server and it goes through the 100%, pauses for a bit then pops up a box labeled "Severe" and all it says is "error getting hostname."

Any clues? I'm not having any system/network issues.

With the intoduction of HP Systems Insight Manager in 2004, Insight Manager 7 went end of life and support halted 31 May 2005. Now in its 4th major release, HP Systems Insight Manager 5.0 should be the only thing you should consider for a new installation. I can't recommend spending time or trouble installing a discontinued product.
