SIM Alert/Threshold for Service Memory Consumption
I've used the System Thresholds on a SIM monitored server to alert when disk or processor thresholds are exceeded, but wanted to know if there's any way to generate an alert when we experience a runaway service that consumes a large amount memory. I think I can alert on PageFile usage which may indicate excessive use of physical memory, but nothing more detailed than that.
I'm wondering if Insight Control Environment, Performance Management might be the solution. We did purchase and install the ICE console on our SIM server when we implemented our BladeSystem enclosures, but I know almost nothing about ICE. Thank you.
