SIM & WBEM Linux
Hi all,
I need to manage Linux Systems (Redhat, ESX etc.. )with SIM 5.2.2 .
I receive correctly via SNMP, all HW fault.
But i can't contact them via WBEM (tog-pegasus).
With wbemdisco utility (root/cimv2 namespace on 5989 port) i got this error:
*** Error enumerating RegisteredProfile - CIM_ERR_NOT_SUPPORTED: The requested o
peration is not supported (CIM_ERR_NOT_SUPPORTED) ***
CIM_ERR_NOT_SUPPORTED(CIM_ERR_NOT_SUPPORTED: The requested operation is not supp
orted)
Also Data Collection task (from SIM), fails.
I configure root access into /etc/Pegasus/access.conf and restart tog-pegasus service.
Do you have any suggestion?
Regards,
Fabrizio

Re: SIM & WBEM Linux
What kind of systems are you trying to manage? HP ProLiant servers? If so, then you need the Linux PSP which exclusively uses SNMP.

Re: SIM & WBEM Linux
Hi,
They are Proliant with Linux OS (Redhat, ESX .. ) and last version of PSP installed. But in the System Properties tab i can't have for example correct system subtype, product model ...
If i manage other proliant server with Winodws OS, all seems OK.
Thanks.
Fabrizio

Re: SIM & WBEM Linux
Ok, what do you suggest to solve my problem?.PSP agent is working fine infact if i connect to the Management Page all data are showed correctly, for example System Model: ProLiant DL380 G5 .
Instead on SIM the values are:
System Subtype --> VMware ESX Host (NOT COORECT)
Product Model ---> Linux Server (SHOULD BE ProLiant DL380 G5)
Thanks.
