						No, the MIB's are not pre-loaded.
I loaded the fcfe.mib & fceos.mib files, but I'm still not getting correct translation of the McData Switch MIB's.
There was also a fcmgmt.mib file, but I've not been able to load that into HPSIM.

						Gentlemen;
Where are you getting these MIB's from. I am a little green on monitoring non HP/Compaq equipment in SIM.
I have McData equipment, IBM servers & certain desktops that need to be montiored (or at least listed in SIM as somethin gother than unmanaged).
Could someone point me in the right direction??

						Mike,
If they're non-HP they ca be anywhere.
But, you generally do not need additional MIB's loaded to be able to recognise a device.
Go to the Options / Discovery / Manage System Types, Select New and then hit the Retrieve from System Button. You'll need the IP Address of the device you want to identify.
You can modify the criteria it uses, may be you want to just generically identify a Manufacturers Switch Type, you can match on parts of the returned string. Hopefully this becomes clearer as you go through the screens.
