SIM: checking HTTP server status
after rebooting our Windows SIM server, the application doesn't start, it shows this message: "checking HTTP server status" but never ends.
It seems to be a problem with Java.
Can anyone please help me?
Thanks and regards.

Re: SIM: checking HTTP server status
For example if your SIM server is called "mysim.mydomain.com", you would, from another workstation, connect to:
https://mysim.mydomain.com:50000

Re: SIM: checking HTTP server status
I've checked the SNMP settings, the internet browser settings, etc. and nothing changes.
I attache a log file that we obtain when we execute C:/Program Files/HP/Systems Insight Manager/sim.bat
In this file there are several error messages, how can I continue this troubleshooting?
Thanks and regards.

Re: SIM: checking HTTP server status
if u want to open the sim console, first u see that sim console port 50000 is open or not by netstat -a at the command prompt.
if this port is not opened, then u will have to open the port behind the firewall.
then u check all the sim services from the services.msc, and all services should be started.
I hope it may help u to resolve this issue.
Points are welcome.

Re: SIM: checking HTTP server status
your log says:
Port already in use: 50008
Port already in use: 50014
Stop SIM, check out which application is on these ports, stop the app and then start sim again.

Re: SIM: checking HTTP server status
- when it tris to start it says "databases not corrupted".
- if the database is corrupted and we don't have a backup... do I have to configure everything again or reinstalling is enough?
Thanks.
